As chandlers we can all agree that finding the optimal wick to use in a new candle formulation can be very hard and can involve endless hours testing and re-testing to ensure a consistent result.
There are many different factors that can impact the performance of your candle including, fragrance and loading, added colour or additives and more. Ultimately, there are a few major considerations which will impact your candles performance: the type of wax you are using and the size/shape of your container.

These recommendations are estimates only. Please consult this chart as a starting point to conduct your own burn tests. We cannot guarantee that a particular wick will perform perfectly in your products.
All of these results were obtained by allowing the candles to burn in unscented (0% fragrance loading) wax. All double wicked results were obtained by placing the wicks exactly 2 centimetres apart. All wicks were trimmed to 1.5cm tall before the first burn, after the first burn, wicks were not trimmed to most accurately represent the majority of candle users.
